How do I dispose of old computers & computer peripherals?
This question would be for residents particularly of Metro Manila, Philippines. Other countries particularly the US have recycling centers you can drop old computers & electronic equipment working and busted but I am not aware of any here in the Philippines in general or Manila in particular.Would anyone out there know where aside from the ubiquitous junk shop? Thanks in advance

other words terms for recalls such as.. The one that HP has now with their Presario F500 Series.. They issued a " Extended Warrenty" instead of Recall. Which means most consumers missed out because the extended warranty expired before the computer actually died.Is there a website that would keep you up to date on all of your devices?Maybe just a simple website, that you can list all of your devices and it keeps track of any recalls, updates, etc.. valuable information that the consumer needs. You never find it out until the problems start then it's too late You search google and find that there are many more people having the same exact problem that you have. You check and find that there was a recall for this problem.. You missed it.. too late...GREAT WEBSITE IDEA hint

I've got a couple of internal hard drives 3.5 inch IDE? from my old desktop lying around and would like to use them as external portable hard drives for storage backup transfer files in bulk from laptop to laptop. I usually buy my pc stuff from Ebuyer.com and if anyone can point me in the right direction...What I'm looking for, and I've seen them before is a stand with a slot which allow me to insert remove swap my old hard drives as and when I want. There is a USB cable coming out from the other end of the stand so I could plug it to laptops etc to read write copy. Basically this thing converts internal hard drives into portable ones. What are they called? Names would be helpful but web links would be even better. Hopefully I've explained well enough. Thank you.How do I tell if mine are IDE or SATA hard drives? Sorry if this sounds dumb.
